06.08.2006 Andrew (New Zealand) Contrary to Hotel web site they do NOT have air conditioning .. and power and water were off at various times of our stay there. Definitely more of a place for backpackers or those looking for cheap close accommodation. Rude and unhelpful staff and very overpriced for what they offer.

| 18.05.2003 Peter and Linda Page (London) Had a very enjoyable stay. The Hotel was very good value for money, especially as it is so centrally located for all tourist attractions.
Very close to Sevilla station if you use the metro from the airport.
Good continental breakfast.

| 04.05.2003 d platts (bucks) Nice room with a balcony which gave us a birds eye view of a religious procession on Good Friday. The hotel is good value and centrally located.
We did have a problem with noise from the traffic and the nightlife. After two nights we bought ear plugs which resolved the problem. |

05.03.2003 Alan B (England) The Asturias was a good choice for central Madrid. The room was clean and pleasant, nothing special, but for Ј220 for six nights in a double it was a bargain. Being so close to Sol, the excellent Madrid Metro and all the major attractions it helped us to really enjoy our stay. I would definately recommend both the Asturias and Sashahotels as convenient and value for money.

03.03.2003 Laura (Ireland) Perfect location. The first room we got was terrible but we requested to be moved and got a nice room with balcony. We really enjoyed our stay here.

25.11.2002 Norma and Matthew (Boston, MA. USA) This was our first trip to Europe, our first night in Madrid we checked into the Asturias. We got to our room and it was lovely. We opened the door to the balcony and could hear music coming from the square. Being exhausted from our flight we decided to take a nap. We drifted to sleep on sheets as soft as clouds, with the music coming in from the street this was a perfect start to a wonderful vacation. The hotel is in a great location and the service was wonderful. We highly recommend the Asturias. :)

11.11.2002 -e (new york city) it was really loud and stuffy and the windows didn't open. it was centrally located to everything, but WAY overpriced for a hotel. better luck with a hostel or pension, those are much quieter and CHEAPER.

01.11.2002 Ross (London, United Kingdom) The hotel was pleasant, however, our room overlooked a local building site who had deliveries at 1am and began work at 7. The breakfast was limited, no good for a vegetarian! We asked to be moved after a number of phonecalls during the night where the caller remained unidentified, it turned out our line was crossed with another room. We were moved to a different room but it was still noisy. But the hotel is in a great location for all the shops and bars!

20.10.2002 Ian Henderson (Wakefield, United Kingdom) The Asturias is a well positioned hotel in the centre of Madrid the facilities are O.K. however it definitely could do with a form of double glazing as it was very noisy and not a place to go to for a "restful break "

17.10.2002 karman (netherlands) a good hotel, even in the center of madrid not much noise.

16.10.2002 Teresa (Sydney) This hotel is great value, and is in a terrific spot. However, it is VERY noisy - we had a room with a wonderful view over the street, but traffic and partying kept us awake most of the night, as the windows do not close tightly. I'd advise anyone staying here to ask for a room at the back.

15.10.2002 nico rosenbaum (the netherlands) hotel is beautiful located in the centre of the city. The room was ok, but very 'smokey'. Breakfast was ok.

11.10.2002 Frances Mould (Cheltenham, England) Small cramped bedroom with view of wall. No air conditioning - so stifling hot (mid September. Breakfast mediocre. Not overly impressed. Staff member continued to talk over the telephone while booking us in - scored nil on courtesy and warmth of welcome. Won't be choosing this location again.

30.09.2002 dad (North Carolina) People were relatively nice and helpful, but the two bed room they gave us originally was cramped with a view of a wall. We asked for another room which they gave us. It had a view of the outside at least and the room was a little roomier. No air conditioning could have been a problem, but luckily it wasn't too hot on September.

28.08.2002 Stig (Norway) We're family of six persons altogether, so we needed and got two adjacent triple rooms, large and clean with balconies. Very central to Atocha by metro. In the very centre of Madrid city, close to every place! Excellent breakfast served!

05.05.2002 Sherry (US) great place, has lovely rooms and all the amenities one may want! Location is tops!
