| 22.06.2004 Bjoern-Ingvar and Inger-Karin (Stavanger Norway) We sure like this hostal. We had a pleasant stay in Madrid. The hostal is in the senter and near by all the things we wanted to see.
The standard was ok and we got a nice twin-bed room with a little bit hard madrasses. The service was exelent.
Because of our room went to Grand Via we had traffic noise so we used aer-plugs.
We recommand this hostal. It was clean and nice in the center.
Hope to come back. | | |
| 13.06.2004 micael castor andersen (denmark) The hotel is very central, very near metro Gran Via, which is fine.
The hotel room was very clean and nice - the hotel looks nice inside.
The staff speaks very little english - but is friendly and helpful. | | |
| 14.04.2004 Robert Joosten (Lausanne (Switzerland)) Besides a lot of noise due to works on the building from 7 AM, a good hotel with nice staff. | | |
| 01.04.2004 Sharon Kulesz (Falls Church, VA) This is a charming, no-frills, clean, comfortable hotel with the nicest staff in Madrid. We stayed here for one week. It was just the best. The rooms were clean, the beds were so-so but after a day and late night in the city- it really doesn't matter! Location, location, location. Just steps from Grand Via metro. If you are looking for a decent place to stay that won't break the bank. This is it. There are hundreds of other places to stay in the city. If I had it to do again- I'd go back to Galicia! | | |
| 15.03.2004 Migs (Colombia) The hotel has a excellent location. Near Sol and Plaza Mayor and walking distance from Chueca and Fuencarral. The rooms are decent except for the neon hospital lighting inside them. Friendly staff. | | |
| 29.10.2003 dissapointed (UK) This place should remove the HOTEL from their name, it is deceiving, it is just marely a hostal and not a very nice one. The picutre you see on the site is not what it is, the hostal is just a floor on that building and is not of a very good standard, please, i recommend you do not stay here, find else where. | | |
| 20.10.2003 Unimpressed (Southern Hemisphere) Just had my parents stay there recently, they moved to another hotel the next day, the room was tiny and dirty and not situated in the best area. I thought when booking that the picture was the whole hotel, not the case, it is run on 2 floors of this builidng, and should not have the name Hotel Galacia Hostal, as it is not in the hotel class, it is a hostal, and not a very nice one at that, they would not recommend this place to anyone. | | |
| 18.10.2003 paul (england) hotel clean and comfortable, staff extremely polite and helpful ,situated in a good location close to the action.only downside bed was not too comfortable but would not deter me from staying again | | |
