We enjoyed our stay in late January 2004. The Regente is in a narrow street off the Gran Via close to Callao metro station. This meant that it was both central and quiet. The hotel is reasonably priced with recently refurbished rooms and a bath and effective shower. Breakfast (continental but adequate0 was served until 11am and check-out by midday were both civilised features. Reception staff were efficient rather than friendly; cleaners were both. All in all, Hotel Regente was a good deal and I would be happy to recommend it.

Excellently situated in the centre of Madrid, Hotel Regente was perfect base for a city break. Our only complaint was that the bathroom door was so newly renovated it didn't shut properly! Other than that, it was great!

great location. but front desk staff was very unfriendly. breakfast was only okay, more of a variety would be nice.

We stayed one night, and the hotel was extremely central and convenient. The staff were very helpful with finding taxis, looking after luggage etc. The room we had was fairly small, but perfectly satisfactory in every way.

I stayed at the Regente twice last August. Rates were very low (off season). Steps from a major pedestrian shopping mall, less than a block from a cafeteria that had public Internet connections. First room was nicer than the second, but both were a very good deal. Both rooms were quiet. A great value, overall.

Nice accommodation, friendly service. Practical situation in the heart of Madrid.

This hotel was in the center of all the action. We stayed our last night here and it was great. :)

The Regente was in an ideal location, room was clean and provided almost everything we needed (perhaps coffee facilities in the room would have been nice). All the staff were most helpful and even the breakfast waiter (who never smiled or conversed) was very efficient.

First class hotel and friendly service.
